Craft Fayre and Classes

Its been a busy couple of weeks between attending the Fierce Valley Roller Girls Craft Emporium and teaching jewellery classes! Here are some photos to illustrate what's been going on! Photos of the FVRG Craft Emporium are courtesy of Claire Fotheringham, you can see more of her photography and design work here - ZENSPIRATIONS PHOTOGRAHY AND DESIGN and here ZENCLAYRE

FVRG Craft Emporium - I loved the grand hall we were in!

Can you spot my stall?

My "vintage style" pendants

Saturday 5th May was the day of my "Multi-Strand Necklace" class at Resonate Arts House in Alloa.
We had a fun morning creating the necklace design, as usual I took photographs of everyone's work, if you click on the photo below it will take you to my facebook album "Class Creations At Resonate Arts House" and you can view the beautiful jewellery that people have created at the Resonate workshops. I should mention the necklace below was made by Julie Dunion, please take a look at her facebook page to see some of her fantastic artwork - Julie Dunion Art

The workshop was great fun and we had a really good mix of people, from experienced jewellery makers to complete beginners, and everyone left with a beautiful necklace to wear. It was really interesting seeing everyone's finished pieces. We were all working to the same design but people's choices of beads and colours ensured that everone created a necklace tailored to their own personal style and taste. We have more workshops planned for June and July, details will be posted up on here next week! Watch this space!

Spring Time and Etsy Finds

Ok, So Spring has finally arrived! But I have to acknowedge the snow that we had on 3rd of April, here is a pic of what I woke up to on Tuesday morning, we got away with a light dusting of snow here, but I heard that other areas had quite a lot of the white stuff!

The weather here never fails to surprise me

Right, lets get back to spring time! The other week I was delighted to find that one of my rose rings had been featured in this beautiful Etsy treasury "Through A Rose Tinted Lens" To view please click on the image below

Click image to visit Etsy treasury

This treasury was curated by Scottish based  Etsy artist Pat Longmuir, owner of Etsy shop "PatsParaphernalia"  click HERE to visit her Etsy Shop which specialises in polymer clay (I LOVE her range of hand made polymer clay buttons) and needle felting. To keep with the spring flower theme, I am posting a pic of her beautiful needle felted rose brooch

While I'm on the subject of Etsy finds, the same day that I discovered Pat's shop I was also lucky enough to discover this wonderful Etsy shop Lincara Vintage (click HERE to visit shop) Specialising in vintage costume jewellery, evening bags and powder compacts. This is a lovely shop full of vintage treasures and every time I visit it there are new items listed. I was also delighted to discover that the shop owner is local to me, because Etsy is so vast I always get excited when I find shops that are based in Scotland, but even more so when the shop owner is in my area (Stirling)! Here are some goodies from Lincara vintage...

Sticking with the spring theme, more roses! Click image to view listing.

Well that's all for now, enjoy checking out the above Etsy links, and lets hope the snow stays away!
